This Vegan GF Granola is full of nutrition, taste great and kids love it. You can use maple syrup or honey which are both natural sweetners. I use bob’s red mill GF organic old fashioned rolled oats for this granola. This recipe can make Granola or GF granola bars, just by altering a simple step which I will discuss below. I like to change it up by using different fruit, for example cranberries, fresh apples sliced in cubes, persimmons when in season. Swapping out sesame seeds for hemp seeds is good for variety. Using walnuts instead of almonds is another option to keep the recipe fresh and interesting. So have fun with this recipe; involve your kids to see which fruit they would like to eat. Kids Love to offer suggestions and when they think something was created especially keeping them, it’s easy to get them to eat a meal that is nutritious and good for them.

Most Store bought cereals are processed, full of sugar and preservatives. I believe in using Organic, GF, and Local ingredients as much as possible. This raises the nutrition value of the food as well as stimulates the local economy. Plus local food is fresh, taste great and it’s beneficial to the local people. When you purchase straight from the farmers you get to know the source.

My daughter loves this granola and I love the nutrition profile with it being GF, organic and using high nutrition ingredients. She take the Granola bars to school for snack, eats it for breakfast with some almond milk and fresh banana, and with vegan coconut yogurt. It’s simple to give a new twist to my GF vegan granola just by accompanying it with different food items. It taste completely different depending on what it’s eaten with.
